Happy last day of 2025, folks! While I look toward 2026 with anticipation and optimism, I can’t help but reflect on some of my important personal events of the past year.
I spent lots of time writing: It felt great to get my creative process flowing, and I’m proud of all of the progress I’ve made as a writer this year.
Working on new projects: I got to work on my first music video, some popular TV shows, and a couple of indie features. I had lots of amazing work experiences this year!
Having an infected molar and then getting all of my wisdom teeth removed: $4000 dollars later (thanks medical-industrial complex!), and I still miss my teeth. The only silver lining was when I forced my friend to watch When Harry Met Sally with me after the surgery.
Watching the world descend into fascist totalitarianism: …
Lorde releases a new album: So excited to see her in concert next year!
I started a blog: Huge shoutout to my most loyal reader, my mom!
The constant and crushing fear of failure I carry within myself continued for another year: 😦
My cat turned 13: We didn’t throw her a bat mitzvah.
I did not get tickets to the 2026 World Cup: The disappointment is still raw. FIFA is corruption at its most efficient.
I still have ADHD: Maybe I’ll finally organize my closet next year.
I watched a lot of movies this year: Who says the cinema is dead? Not me. In fact, there’s nothing I’d rather do than go to the movie theater.
I had a lot of personal growth this year: Not to be too sentimental, but this year brought a lot of challenges that I faced head-on, and learnt a lot from. Here’s to another year of evolution in 2026!
