Note #14 – Merry/Happy Chrismukkah

Happy holidays everyone! I’ve emerged from my days-long food, alcohol, and holiday movie induced bender just to write a blog post for you all.

Holidays, Palm Springs style.

I spent a few days in Palm Springs, where my aforementioned architect mother (see note #12), had me drive around town to look at mid-century houses. We even saw the house where Elvis and Priscilla stayed during their honeymoon (the local visitor center website even tells us this is where Lisa Marie was conceived – how romaaaantic!). We also went to a tiki bar, because what else does one do in Palm Springs.

We had a very observant Christmas Eve, where we attended a sing a long viewing of Fiddler on the Roof. It was lots of fun until the last half hour, when the story just gets bleak. Nothing says Happy Hanukkah like a Pogrom.

Christmas was spent eating dim sum and going to Ranch 99. It was a classic Chrismukkah in my book!
